The Giant's Library

I wanted to create an evironment based on this beautiful concept by Sean Randolph.

I wanted to keep it small and focus on perspective. I approached this project like it was a part of a much larger environment. The part of the process that was most interesting was sculpting a few modular assets in Zbrush and reusing them throughout the project, as well as creating unique masks and only using one tiling stone texture for them. Making the book piles and curtains in Blender was an exciting learning process.
Everything here was made by me except for the ivy and the books which come from the Megascans library.
The scene is rendered in the Unreal Engine 5 leveraging Lumen and Nanite.
